Is it loud enough to wake me?
In the silent mode there's no sound, just calibrated vibration. If you're a heavier sleeper, you can set repeated vibration intervals for extra assurance. Or turn on alarm sounds and melodies if applicable to you.

Does it need a phone or app?
Not necessarily. It works as a standalone device, set your alarm right on the band , but the app is there if you want more customization.

Can I shower with it?
It handles everyday water exposure fine, but it's not built for swimming or showering.
